Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Gonzalez Collins (born in Mexico) is a Mexican American journalist. She works for ESPN as an SportsCenter anchor for news. She started working for ESPN in the year 2016. Her mother is TV reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins is bi-lingual and has been for a long time, starting at when she was nine years old. Her ability in this area helped her to get her first position at Univision, Miami. She worked as a producer for national programs like Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. In 2009, the CBS subsidiary in St. Petersburg hired her after this as a sports reporter. She moved into Rio Grande Valley in 2009 as a reporter for KNVO TV 48 Univision. Spanish channels KNVO TV 48 Univision, as well as Fox2 News. Reporters covered issues related to illegal immigration as well as drug trafficking throughout Texas as well as Mexico. Also, she would fill in on occasion as a weather and sport anchor. Deportes 23 was Univision Dallas affiliate, where she was able to take on other responsibilities. The family moved in 1992 to Mexico for the US and eventually settled in Miami. Soon after, her parents separated and in the year 1995, Fabio Fajardo got married again. He passed away from kidney cancer in 2006. On a family vacation in Ohio, the younger Collins was able to take a job alongside her elder sister. As a senior in high school and yet having a clear vision of about what she wanted to pursue with her life Antonietta visited at the University of Mount Union to assess if it suited her requirements. The result was that she enjoyed the university as well as the fact that it had the program she desired. She graduated from high school and enrolled into media school at the college. Her professor Mark Bergmann, who managed WRMU FM, and was member of her class, formed an ongoing relationship with her. He encouraged her to have confidence and also his love for journalism deeply affected her, and she was determined to live up to his standards and never fail him.
